We are Committed to helping people grow in understanding the Kingdom ministry that Jesus engaged in here on earth.
John 5:19+20 and John 12:44-50 expresses to us that Jesus only did and said what he saw his Father doing and heard him saying.
We're committed to helping people grow in their ability and confidence in doing the work of Kingdom ministry today.
God chose to invite his Church into his ministry throughout history. We're invited into the "Family Business".
We strongly believe that doing the "works of the Kingdom", continuing in the ministry of Jesus, extends further than what happens during a church service on Sunday mornings. We desire to help people orientate their lives within the Kingdom of God so that they grow in hearing and obeying God whether they are in the third row at church Sunday morning or in the third isle at the grocery store Tuesday morning.
We want to help people learn to pray for others for all types of needs, that it's not just the pastor's job to pray for the sick and needy, but that all learn to pray the prayer of faith that the sick recover, the lame walk, the blind see and the oppressed are set free. We want to continue the mission of Jesus as he expressed it in Luke 4:18+19.
We want to teach people to have a practical understanding of the Word of God. More than having an understanding of what the Word says, we want to help people engage in what the Word calls us to do. We want God's Word to become the lens through which we view our lives and our communities.
We want to be a church that worships God. We want to help people grow in areas of worship: in our ability to worship God in spirit and in truth (John 4:24), and learning to lead others in worship as well. Our desire is to live a lifestyle of worship (Romans 12:1+2).
We want to help people learn how to comfortably share their faith.
We want to serve our community. We believe in serving our communties with acts of love and kindness. We believe these actions are at the heart of the ministry of Jesus. We feel that loving actions often can speak louder than words.
We desire to train new leaders, helping them to grow to reach their fullest potential in Christ. Vineyard offers several options for further training with both online and interactive, hands on training opportunities.
